Slow and Steady Wins the Race

Sometimes just staying in the race is a challenge but as my friend Lonni has often said, "Slow and steady wins the race". The race I'm in at the moment is filled with obstacles that are eased and even made pleasant by many wonderful friends, medical professionals and family. Ten days after surgery and I'm still waiting for pathology reports from Memorial Sloan-Kettering in New York that will have a great determination on my future. Every morning I receive a text from my daughter, Mikaela, that reads, "Any news yet?" We are all hoping it will be some rare tumor that came out of nowhere and will never return or need follow-up therapy but whatever it is, I know we'll be able to get through it with the help of a loving Heavenly Father and all the wonderful people he has put in our lives.

James 1:3-4

Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
